The Magdalo Lions Club and the rest of District 301-A2 joined in on the Sight for Kids activity entitled the Walk for Sight 2017 last August 6, 2017. This activity is in line with the objectives of the annual Sight Saving Month by the National Committee Sight Prevention (NCSP) and the Department of Health (DOH). This is a national effort from the Lions Clubs International with several districts in attendance.
The event started bright and early at 5:00am at the Cultural Center of the Philippines complex and ends with a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Rizal Monument at Rizal Park. Finally, a Zumba session with snacks rounds out the morning activities.
Sight Saving Month is being celebrated thanks to Presidential Proclamantion No. 40. The theme for the Walk for Sight is "Mas Makikita ang Forever, Kung Eye Sight ay Better." Walk for Sight was led by the Disease Prevention and Control Bureau.
