The Magdalo Lions Club conducted a community clean up in Barangay Samala Marquez last July 9, 2017 from 7:00am-10:00am. In coordination with Barangay Captain Alvin Bunag and spearheaded by Past District Governor Alexander Manguba, the Magdalo Lions Club swept streets, sidewalks and alleyways, sorted trash and dredged clogged canals in preparation for the upcoming typhoon season.

The Leo Club, headed by Danessa Burgos, also joined the clean up along with another organization - the 4P,s (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) of Barangay Samala-Marquez.

With the Magdalo Lions Club, the Leo Club of Magdalo, the Barangay Captain of Samala Marquez and his councilors and the 4P's of Barangay Samala Marquez, the event garnered more than 60 people helping to clean the community.

The next environmental project, entitled "Tara! Linisin Natin 'To Part 2," of the Magdalo Lions Club is scheduled for July 15 as part of the regional project.
